ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Passed Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) or equivalent, with minimum grade C+ (NGMP 2.33) in any of the subjects, and credit in Mathematics; OR
  • Pass a Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) with a minimum Jayyid grade (good), and credit in Mathematics; OR
  • Eligibility equivalent to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5, MOH); OR
  • Matriculation/Basic or equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credit in Mathematics; OR
  • Graduated from Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of B Grade in five subjects, including Maths and English passing; OR
  • Pass the Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM) from institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia and the university Senate in any one of the following areas: Insurance; Marketing; Office Management; Business Management; Retail Management; Accounting; Banking; AND Pass the Vocational Certificate Malaysia (SVM) equivalent to 3 Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) credits for candidates earning: – Honors in English in 1104; Academic GPS > 2.0 and Vocational Values > 2.67; Competition of all vocational modules

**Note: The SVM programme entry requirements for the 2012-2016 cohort DVM programme are as above. For SVM graduates, cohort 2013-2016, SVM equivalency with 3 SPM credits should also take into account passing SPM History subjects; OR

  • Other qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
  • For International Students, students must have a minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS or equivalent. **Note: Mathematics and English Language requirements at the SPM level for candidates (i) and (ii) may be excluded if the eligibility includes Mathematics and English subjects and their achievement/ equivalent to the requirement of passing the subject at the SPM level.
