The programme aims to produce graduates with contemporary knowledge and skills in various marketing disciplines, specifically emphasising professions with high moral and ethical values.  Bachelor of Marketing (Hons.) equips students with quantitative skills and a global outlook in the field, aiming to broaden the student’s awareness of the world in which the market operates. Professionals who need digital marketing, sales management, retailing management, public relations, service marketing and more may benefit from the Bachelor of Marketing (Hons.)  programme. 

This programme also prepares students to face real marketing planning and strategy in the market. The syllabus includes all related courses and is designed to meet the needs of the industry.  Some courses are practical in using the current social media applications and content creators that fulfil the current market trends. By getting a syllabus review among the committee, the consistency of the syllabus is always maintained.  With a great association with alumni and industry, this programme would have a better chance of being competitive.

The curriculum integrates key areas such as management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and strategic planning, providing students with a strong foundation in business concepts and practices.

The Bachelor of Marketing (Hons.) programme is comprehensive, encompassing University Compulsory Subjects, MQA Compulsory Subjects, Core Discipline Modules, and Electives. Students complete 120 credit hours over the 3 years’ programme duration, which includes practical training and a capstone project.

  • Our program is accessible to a wide range of applicants, with various pathways for admission:

    • Passed Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) with a minimum C Grade (NGMP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, and passed in Mathematics and English at SPM level; OR
    • Passed STAM with minimum Jayyid Grade, and passed in Mathematics and English at Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) level; OR
    • Passed Foundation/Matriculation/Diploma or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.00; OR
    • Passed Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) / Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma (DLKM) / Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM) in related field with minimum CGPA 2.50 and get full accreditation.
    • Passed United Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B in any five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English.

Upon graduation, our Bachelor of Marketing (Hons.) graduates will be able to:

  • Apply fundamental principles and practices of Marketing in managing, organising, planning, and monitoring marketing plans and strategy.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of communication between staff and management, suitability of content creator, handling sales force, forecasting, and ethical practices in Marketing.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including employees, leadership, and external partners.
  • Apply ethical decision-making in marketing policies, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance.

The graduates are well-prepared for a wide range of rewarding careers, including:

  • Digital Marketing Executive: Responsible for managing and creating marketing content, identifying the target audience, implementing strategies to reach more people and prospects.
  • Sales Manager: Serve existing customers and acquire new customers, carry out market analyses, and look for opportunities to resell and distribute their product or service.
  • Marketing Manager: Plan, coordinate, and oversee marketing or advertising efforts across the team or agency, ensuring operations run smoothly.
